I don’t have an advance ticket, can I still come?
Advance tickets are on sale now. On the day there will be further tickets available on the door.

To ensure the health and safety of all of our festival-goers crowd numbers will be continuously monitored throughout the event. If the site is very busy, ticket holders and non ticket holders may be asked to wait until these numbers have reduced before being given entry to the site.
Those people that have bought tickets including a drink will receive a drinks token from our gate staff that can be redeemed at the main bar

Where does my money go?
After the event, we will share any profits with our chosen charities - we only retain enough to help meet our ongoing costs and to invest into the following year. We have donated over £20,000 to charity so far and make sure we use local businesses where possible for our materials. This year our chosen charities are Friends of Howard of Effingham, Community Fridge and Leatherhead Foodbank.

Can I bring my dog?
Sorry, no dogs are allowed (except guide dogs). Whilst we (the organisers) are dog-lovers we ask that you leave your furry friends at home.

Can I bring my own chairs?
Unfortunately we don't have enough space in the field for visitors to bring their own chairs - however we have added more seating areas to the site this year so hopefully you will find a place to sit!

Entrance to the event
The main entrance to the event is via Church Road through the Old Barn Hall entrance. You may also enter via The Garstons, however the Church Road entrance may be faster. Please have your tickets ready with QR code visible in order for us to scan you into the event.

Where can I park my car?
There is no parking available on site. Your nearest pay & display car parks are in the village, either Lower Road or Lower Shott. Please respect our neighbours and do not cause obstructions in nearby roads.

Is the event accessible for wheelchairs?
The vast majority of the event is held on the field behind the barn hall, which is relatively flat for the most part. We won't have any additional surfaces laid on top of the grass, so whilst there will certainly be a clear path for a wheelchair it could get a bit slippy if we have inclement weather.

Trains & Taxis
We encourage festival goers to cycle or walk to the event or use public transport. Bookham Food Festival is located within easy walking distance from Bookham railway station (approx 10 mins). However if you require a taxi, please contact Surrey Hills Taxis on 07830 250796. Pre-booking is recommended.

Child safety
Children under 12 years old are not allowed to enter the festival unaccompanied by an adult. They are to remain the responsibility of their parents/care givers throughout their time at the event.

Is there going to be any music?
We believe that you can’t have a festival without music, and our DJ’s will be playing a selection of tunes (soul, reggae, jazz, house etc) across 2 soundsystems. Once the live cooking demonstrations have finished, the party moves into the marquee until we close at 9pm!

How do I pay on the day?
Bar: Card payment preferred, cash optional
Food Vendors: Our Street Food vendors will only accept payments by card.
Stallholders: The market traders may accept cash and/or card. As there is such a range of stall holders from all parts of the community some may only take cash payments.
